A half or full day tour of the picturesque Dee Valley in North East Wales starting in the bustling town of Corwen. Our very own “Braveheart” Owain Glyndŵr was born close by and you’ll hear about his last famous revolt against the English Kings, followed by a visit to the bustling market town of Llangollen and the infamous “Ladies of Llangollen”, royal visits and a gruesome murder.
The half day tour then heads back to Corwen, but if you choose the full day option, the next stop is Wales’ newest World Heritage Site, Pontycyllte Aqueduct, the stream in the sky 126 ft above the River Dee, with our final stop at Chirk Castle to hear about the skulduggery of the Mortimer dynasty, betrayal and a murder mystery still unsolved to this day.
All tours operate year round with a qualified tour guide, subject to weather conditions and minimum numbers. Details on request from firstname.lastname@example.org or call Carole on 07582 093582 to discuss your needs.
